Regionalna radionica Trebinje, 20.-22.6.2014.

HHD-Hyla organizirala je i treću radionicu u sklopu konzervacijskog i znanstveno-istraživačkog projekta PROTEUS. Nakon prve dvije radionice u Ogulinu, održane 2012te i 2013te, ove godine se radionica preselila u susjednu Bosnu i Hercegovinu. Skup se održao u  Trebinju od 20.-22.6.2014. godine, a tema je bila „Podzemni svijet Dinarskog krša“. Lokalnu organizaciju preuzeo je naš partner na projektu Bosansko-Hercegovačko Herpetološko Udruženje - ATRA. Radionica je bila podijeljena na dva dijela: „Istraživanje čovječje ribice – Proteus anguinus“ i „Podzemna fauna i staništa Dinarskog krša“, te su se predstavili završni rezultati projektnih aktivnosti prvog ciklusa projekta PROTEUS. Na radionici su prisustvovali predstavnici sedam zemalja: Hrvatska, Bosna i Hercegovina, Rumunjska, Slovenija, Crna Gora, Mađarska i Engleska. Otvaranje je započeo dr. sc. Dušan Jelić koji je predstavio ciljeve, postignute rezultate i buduće planirane aktivnosti projekta PROTEUS u regiji. Gregor Aljančić (SLO) je predstavio metodu eDNA uzorkovanja, dok je Brian Lewarne (UK) dao pregled stanja populacije čovječje ribice duž rijeke Trebišnjice. Drugi dio predavanja započeo je Andrej Kranjc (SLO) ispričavši značaj Dinarskog krša, a završio ga je Gordan Karaman (MNG) s pregledom podzemne faune.

Važno je napomenuti da ovakvi susreti značajno doprinose bliskoj suradnji stručnjaka iz različitih zemalja sa zajedničkim ciljem produbljivanja znanja, promocije i akcijama potrebnim za zaštitu ove ugrižene vrste.

Prvoga dana (20.6.) Dušan Jelić i Gergley Balaz (HUN) zaronili su u sustav Vruljak u kojem su zabilježili veliki broj primjeraka čovječje ribice.
